Barrens, Booze and Bootleggers Osceola historians Ward Moberg and Harris Parent will be at Osceola Landing presenting the wild and wooly Prohibition Era history of the St. Croix River Valley. Harris has many stories to tell about Prohibition as his father was actively involved in the trade as a moonshiner during Prohibition and after Prohibition ended. An original functioning still will be set up to demonstrate the workings of a live still. Join Ward and Harris on June 6 from 11-3:30 at Osceola Landing to learn more about the very "Wet" past of the St. Croix River.. |
