This page has links to organizations related to Devic Disease. Most individuals with Devic disease have an initial phase of the disorder consisting of a slight fever, sore throat and/or head cold. Affected individuals may also experience loss of clear vision (acuity), mild paralysis (usually of the lower limbs), and loss of bladder and bowel control. Devic disease may occur spontaneously, or in conjunction with multiple sclerosis or systemic lupus erythematosus.
